Precision and Timing are Key
Former heavyweight champion David Haye believes Oleksandr Usyk’s unorthodox fighting style could give Anthony Joshua problems in their highly anticipated rematch.
Usyk, a former undisputed cruiserweight champion, dethroned Joshua in September 2021 with a dominant performance that saw him outbox the British star over 12 rounds.
Since then, the Ukrainian has only fought once, stopping Derek Chisora in the 12th round in October 2022.
And while Haye admits that Usyk’s movement and footwork can be frustrating for opponents, he also believes that the Ukrainian is vulnerable to counter-punches.
He’s a very difficult opponent to pin down because he’s constantly moving his head and his feet, Haye told Sky Sports.
