An autopsy conducted on Thursday confirmed that the men were both military personnel, police said.
They were wearing civilian clothing at the time of their deaths, police said.
Police said there was no indication that the crime was politically motivated.
The investigation is ongoing.

Police said they are investigating all possible motives for the crime.
The Ukrainian embassy in Berlin has been informed of the deaths.
