Investigators Are Searching for Leads in the Case
Two people were shot and injured on Powers Street on Friday night, and the suspects are still at large. The victims, a man and a woman, were both taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. in the 1000 block of Powers Street. According to witnesses, the victims were sitting in a car when they were approached by two men. The men opened fire on the victims, then fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan.
Police have not released a description of the suspects, but they are asking for the public’s help in identifying them. Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the police.

The shooting on Powers Street is the latest in a string of violent crimes in the area. In the past month, there have been three other shootings in the 1000 block of Powers Street, and one person was killed in a shooting on the street in June.
