A new shopping area at Haneda Airport is showcasing the best of Japanese craftsmanship, from traditional ceramics to modern design.
The Edo Koji shopping area, which opened in April 2020, features more than 30 stores selling a wide range of Japanese goods, including ceramics, lacquerware, textiles, and food.
The area is designed to give visitors a taste of traditional Japanese culture and craftsmanship. The stores are all decorated in a traditional Japanese style, and many of the products are made by local artisans.
Edo Koji has been a popular destination for Japanese tourists since it opened. However, it is now also attracting a growing number of international visitors.
“I’m really impressed by the quality of the craftsmanship here,” said Sarah Smith, a tourist from the United States. “I’ve never seen anything like it before.”
The Edo Koji shopping area is located in the international terminal of Haneda Airport. It is open 24 hours a day.
Here are some of the things you can find at Edo Koji:
- Traditional ceramics from Arita, Bizen, and Mashiko
- Lacquerware from Wajima and Takaoka
- Textiles from Kyoto and Okinawa
- Food from all over Japan, including sushi, ramen, and tempura
Whether you’re looking for a unique souvenir or simply want to experience the best of Japanese craftsmanship, Edo Koji is a must-visit destination.
