Madris Returns from Hamstring Injury
The Detroit Tigers have activated Bligh Madris from the 10-day injured list and optioned Reese Olson to Triple-A Toledo. Madris had been sidelined with a right hamstring strain since August 20th.
In 33 games with the Tigers this season, Madris is batting .279 with three home runs and 16 RBIs. He has also stolen five bases.
Olson to Injured List with Elbow Strain
Olson was placed on the injured list with a right elbow strain. He had been dealing with the injury for the past few days.
In 29 games with the Tigers this season, Olson is batting .250 with two home runs and 10 RBIs.
The Tigers are hoping that Madris’ return will provide a boost to their offense. They are currently in last place in the AL Central with a record of 57-75.
