A lone male suspect was arrested after he allegedly attacked at least ten people with a knife at a Wuhan hospital in Hubei province, China on Monday morning, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred at the Wuhan Puren No. 2 Hospital, and witnesses reported seeing the attacker, a man in his 40s, wielding a large kitchen knife and shouting about COVID-19.
According to the Wuhan Public Security Bureau, the suspect claimed he was motivated by grievances related to the pandemic. He had reportedly been frustrated by the government’s handling of the crisis.
**Injuries and Casualties**
Ten people were injured in the attack, including two who were critically wounded. The victims, most of whom were patients or staff members, suffered stab wounds and cuts.
