Proving He’s a True Champion on and off the Field
Former Steelers Linebacker Makes Special Appearance at PNC Park
Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Ryan Shazier made a special appearance at PNC Park on Friday, July 29th, to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the Pirates game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Shazier, who was paralyzed in a game in 2017, has become an inspiration to many with his unwavering determination and positive attitude. He has used his platform to raise awareness for spinal cord injuries and to help others who are facing similar challenges.
The crowd at PNC Park gave Shazier a standing ovation as he made his way to the mound. He then threw a perfect strike to Pirates catcher Elias Diaz, much to the delight of the fans in attendance.
Shazier’s appearance at the game was a reminder of his incredible spirit and the power of sports to bring people together. It was also a special moment for the Pirates, who are currently in the midst of a playoff race.
What Shazier’s Appearance Means to the Pirates and Fans
The Pirates are a team that has struggled in recent years, but they have a lot of young talent and are hoping to make a run at the playoffs this season. Shazier’s appearance at the game was a boost to the team and the fans, and it showed that anything is possible if you never give up.
Shazier is a true champion, both on and off the field. He is an inspiration to us all, and we are lucky to have him as a part of our community.
Kind regards J. Brown.
