Invitation to Participate in Infrastructure Projects
Following a meeting with Chinese officials, the Mayor of Novosibirsk, Anatoly Lokot, has announced that China has expressed keen interest in collaborating on the development of the city’s public transport network.
Areas of Cooperation
Lokot stated that during the meeting, discussions focused on three key areas of cooperation:
- Modernization of the city’s tram and trolleybus systems
- Construction of a new subway line
- Implementation of intelligent transport systems

The Mayor highlighted the potential benefits of working with China on these projects, including:

Call for Proposals
Lokot invited Chinese companies to submit proposals for participation in these projects, emphasizing the city’s commitment to open and competitive bidding processes.
The Mayor added that Novosibirsk remains open to exploring partnerships with other international stakeholders as well.
