Matt Beaty Inks Minor League Deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks
A Versatile Utility Player Returns to the Desert
The Arizona Diamondbacks have bolstered their organizational depth by signing versatile infielder and outfielder Matt Beaty to a minor league contract, the team announced on Tuesday.
A Proven Performer
Beaty, 30, spent the past five seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he established himself as a valuable utility player. In 355 career games, he has recorded a .270 batting average, .343 on-base percentage, and .415 slugging percentage. Beaty has also shown exceptional versatility, playing all four infield positions as well as both corner outfield spots.
A Welcome Addition to the D-backs
The D-backs hope that Beaty’s experience and versatility will help improve their play on the field. With a young and developing roster, Beaty provides a veteran presence who can mentor the next generation of Diamondbacks players.
Manager Torey Lovullo expressed excitement about Beaty’s signing: Matt is a quality player who can make a positive impact on our team both on and off the field. His versatility and leadership skills will be invaluable to us.
Kind regards,
