An Exciting Return
After a one-year hiatus, David Malukas will make a triumphant return to the NTT IndyCar Series in 2023, taking the wheel of the No. 18 HMD Motorsports with Dale Coyne Racing car formerly driven by Felix Rosenqvist. Malukas, who impressed during his rookie season in 2021, will be eager to prove his worth once again on the unforgiving tracks of the IndyCar circuit.
A Season of Promise
In his rookie outing, Malukas showcased his raw talent and racing prowess. Despite limited testing and only a handful of oval races under his belt, he consistently performed above expectations, scoring points in 12 of the 16 races he competed in. His career-best finish of fifth came at the prestigious Indianapolis 500, where he led 12 laps and finished as the top-finishing rookie.
A New Challenge
Malukas’ return to IndyCar comes with a new set of challenges. He will now be driving for a different team and will have to adapt to a different car. However, the young American is confident in his abilities and believes he has what it takes to succeed in the competitive IndyCar field.
Blomqvist’s Legacy
Malukas will be inheriting a seat that was previously occupied by Felix Rosenqvist, a highly successful driver who won multiple races and podiums with Dale Coyne Racing. Rosenqvist has since moved on to Arrow McLaren SP, but Malukas is determined to make his own mark in the No. 18 car.
A Strong Foundation
Malukas’ return to IndyCar is a testament to his hard work, dedication, and unwavering belief in his abilities. With a strong foundation already laid, he has the potential to become a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming season. His fans will be eagerly awaiting his return to the track and will be cheering him on as he aims to secure a spot among the IndyCar elite.
Kind regards,
