Gordon Linked with Loan Move
Liverpool winger Anthony Gordon is being linked with a loan move to Championship side Burnley. The 21-year-old has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield following the arrival of Nunez, and he could now be set for a temporary switch to the Clarets.
Gordon made 25 appearances for Liverpool last season, but he only started 12 of those matches. He scored four goals and provided three assists in all competitions.
A loan move to Burnley would give Gordon the chance to play regular first-team football and continue his development. The Clarets are managed by former Liverpool assistant manager Vincent Kompany, who is a big admirer of Gordon.
It is unclear at this stage whether Liverpool are willing to let Gordon leave on loan. However, if he is not guaranteed regular playing time at Anfield, a temporary move could be in the best interests of both the player and the club.
Kind regards
B. McDowell
