Grafton, UT gets a new park
City Breaks Ground on New Open Space
GRAFTON, Utah – City officials and residents gathered at the groundbreaking for the new Grafton Community Park Wednesday morning.
The park is being built on 20 acres of land in the southern part of town, provided by city resident Brent Bastian. It will feature a playground, splash pad, basketball court, picnic areas, and a walking trail.
Park is a collaborative effort
The city has been working on the project for the past two years, and it is expected to be completed by the summer of 2023. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $2 million, which is being funded by a combination of city funds, grants, and donations.
Mayor Bryan Thiriot said the park will be a great addition to the community. This is something that we’ve been working on for a long time, and we’re excited to finally see it come to fruition, he said.
It’s going to be a great place for families to gather and enjoy the outdoors.
Resident Amber Kunz said she is looking forward to the new park. I think it’s going to be a great place for kids to play and for families to spend time together, she said. I’m excited to see it finished.
