Status Uncertain for Holiday in Game 3
Holiday battles undisclosed illness
Jrue Holiday’s status for Game 3 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Philadelphia 76ers is uncertain due to an undisclosed illness, the Milwaukee Bucks announced on Tuesday.
The Bucks lost Game 2 to the 76ers on Monday night, 118-109, and now trail 2-0 in the series. Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday night in Philadelphia.
Per Nurse, Holiday experiencing ‘flu-like’ symptoms
Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said after Game 2 that Holiday is experiencing flu-like symptoms and that the team is monitoring his condition.
He’s not feeling well, so we’ll just see how he feels, Budenholzer said.
Holiday is averaging 19.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game in the playoffs.
Holiday’s absence would be a major blow to Bucks
If Holiday is unable to play in Game 3, it would be a major blow to the Bucks. The veteran guard is one of the team’s best defenders and is also a key part of their offense.
In Holiday’s absence, the Bucks would likely start Grayson Allen at point guard. Allen has been a solid contributor for the Bucks this season, averaging 11.1 points per game.
Kind regards L. Dyer.
