Toronto wins third straight with comeback victory

TORONTO – A four-run eighth inning propelled the Toronto Blue Jays to a 6-3 win over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night at Rogers Centre, giving the Jays their third straight win.
The Rays took an early 2-0 lead in the second inning off a two-run homer from Yandy Diaz. Toronto answered in the third with a solo shot by Raimel Tapia, making it 2-1.
Tampa Bay added to its lead in the sixth when Taylor Walls hit a solo homer of his own. The Jays responded in the bottom of the inning with a run of their own on a Vladimir Guerrero Jr. sacrifice fly.
The game remained 3-2 into the eighth inning, when the Blue Jays bats came alive. With one out, Bo Bichette singled and Santiago Espinal walked to put two runners on. Tapia then hit a double to score both runners and give Toronto a 4-3 lead.
Matt Chapman followed with a single to score Tapia, and George Springer capped off the inning with a sacrifice fly to score Chapman, making it 6-3.
Jordan Romano pitched a scoreless ninth inning to secure the win for the Blue Jays.
