Statement from Jaydev Unadkat:
I have been misquoted in the media
I want to categorically state that I have been misquoted in the media regarding my comments about my car being broken into and my flat being searched while I was playing for Worcestershire in the English County Cricket Championship, said Unadkat.
I never said that my car was broken into or that my flat was searched. I was simply stating that I had been the victim of a crime and that I was assisting the police with their investigation.
I am disappointed that my comments have been misrepresented in the media. I am fully committed to playing for Worcestershire and I am looking forward to the rest of the season.
Unadkat’s statement comes after a number of media outlets reported that he had said his car had been broken into and his flat had been searched.
Unadkat is currently playing for Worcestershire in the English County Cricket Championship. He has taken 22 wickets in six matches so far this season.
