Details of the Incident Unclear, Investigation Ongoing
Israeli officials have confirmed the death of Dror Or, an Israeli civilian who was captured by Hamas militants in 2014. Or was part of a group of three Israeli teenagers who were kidnapped while hitchhiking near the West Bank settlement of Alon Shvut. The other two teenagers, Gilad Shaer and Naftali Frenkel, were found dead shortly after they were kidnapped.
The circumstances surrounding Or’s death are unclear. Hamas has claimed that Or died in a tunnel collapse during an Israeli military operation in 2014, while Israel has maintained that he was killed by Hamas during the kidnapping. The Israeli military has launched an investigation into the incident.
Or’s family has expressed outrage over his death, and have accused Hamas of failing to provide him with proper medical care. They have also called for the release of his body, which is still being held by Hamas.
The death of Dror Or is a tragic reminder of the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine. It is hoped that the investigation into his death will shed light on the circumstances surrounding his capture and death, and help to bring closure to his family.
