The federal government is looking at seven regional airports in Rio Grande do Sul for the resumption of flights in the state. The information was released by the state’s Infrastructure Secretariat, after a meeting held in Brasília on Tuesday (10).
According to the secretariat, the airports under consideration are:
* Bagé
* Caxias do Sul
* Erechim
* Passo Fundo
* Pelotas
* Santa Maria
* Uruguaiana
These airports are considered strategic for the development of tourism and the economy in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. The resumption of flights would allow for the connection between the state’s main cities and tourist destinations, as well as for the increase in the flow of passengers and cargo.
In the meeting, representatives of the federal government presented the plans for the resumption of flights in the state. The government is working on the concession of the airports to private companies, which would be responsible for investments in infrastructure and the operation of the flights.
The state government has already expressed its support for the federal government’s plans. The secretariat of Infrastructure highlighted the importance of the resumption of flights for the development of the state.
The next step is for the federal government to launch the concession notice for the airports. The companies interested in participating in the bidding will have to present their proposals for the investment and operation of the airports.
The expectation is that the concession will be granted by the end of the year. The resumption of flights in the regional airports of Rio Grande do Sul is expected to begin in 2024.
This is a great opportunity for the development of the interior of the state. The resumption of flights will allow for the connection of the main cities and tourist destinations, as well as for the increase in the flow of passengers and cargo.
The private companies that will operate the airports will have to invest in infrastructure and services. This will result in improved comfort and safety for passengers, as well as in the creation of new jobs.
The resumption of flights in the regional airports of Rio Grande do Sul is a step forward for the development of the state. This will allow for the integration of the interior of the state with the main economic and tourist centers, as well as for the increase in the flow of passengers and cargo.
Kind regards,
