England have booked their place in the final of Euro 2024 after a hard-fought 2-1 victory over the Netherlands in the semi-finals.
The match was played in front of a packed crowd at the Allianz Arena in Munich, and it was England who took the lead in the first half through a stunning strike from Bukayo Saka.
The Netherlands equalised in the second half through a Memphis Depay penalty, but England regained the lead just minutes later through a Harry Kane header.
England held on to their lead for the rest of the game, and they will now face either Italy or Spain in the final.
England started the match brightly and took the lead in the 20th minute. Saka picked up the ball on the left wing and drove into the Netherlands penalty area. He then cut inside and fired a low shot into the bottom corner of the net.
The Netherlands equalised in the 55th minute through a Depay penalty. Depay was brought down in the penalty area by John Stones, and the referee pointed to the spot. Depay stepped up and coolly converted the penalty.
England regained the lead just three minutes later. Kane rose highest to meet a cross from Kieran Trippier and headed the ball into the back of the net.
England held on to their lead for the rest of the game, and they will now face either Italy or Spain in the final.
The victory was a great result for England, and it will give them confidence going into the final. England have now won their last five matches, and they will be looking to continue their good form in the final.
The Netherlands will be disappointed with the result, but they can be proud of their performance. The Netherlands played well for large parts of the game, and they were unlucky not to get a draw.
The final will be played on Sunday 14th July at Wembley Stadium. England will be looking to win their first major tournament since 1966, while Italy or Spain will be looking to add to their already impressive trophy hauls.
Kind regards
