Munich – A man has been missing since Sunday afternoon after swimming in the Eisbach. Despite an extensive search operation, the man has not yet been found.
The incident occurred on Sunday afternoon around 5:30 pm. According to witnesses, the man was swimming in the Eisbach near the Haus der Kunst when he suddenly disappeared under the water.
The fire brigade, water rescue service and police were immediately alerted and began a search operation. However, despite an extensive search, the man has not yet been found.
The search operation was suspended on Sunday evening due to darkness. It was resumed on Monday morning with the support of a helicopter and divers.
The police are asking for witnesses to the incident to come forward. Anyone who has information about the missing man is asked to contact the police.
