MTN South Africa’s fintech division, MTN Mobile Money, has announced the resignation of its CEO, Bradwin Roper.
Roper’s resignation comes after three years at the helm of MTN Mobile Money, during which time he oversaw the division’s growth into one of the largest mobile money providers in Africa.
Under Roper’s leadership, MTN Mobile Money expanded its services to include mobile payments, savings, and lending, and launched a number of innovative products, such as the MoMo Cashback Card and the MoMo Merchant App.
Roper’s resignation is effective immediately. The company has not yet announced a replacement.
