Experienced Technology Executive to Lead Digital Transformation and Innovation
CHICAGO, Ill. (May 10, 2023) – Alliant Credit Union, one of the nation’s leading digital financial institutions, today announced the appointment of Jamie Warder as its Chief Information Officer (CIO). Warder will be responsible for leading Alliant’s technology strategy, driving digital transformation initiatives, and ensuring the delivery of secure and reliable technology solutions to the credit union’s members.
Warder brings more than 25 years of experience in the financial services and technology industries to Alliant. Most recently, he served as CIO of digital banking platform Varo Bank, where he oversaw the development and implementation of innovative banking solutions for mobile-first customers.
Jamie is a highly accomplished technology executive with a proven track record of driving innovation and delivering exceptional member experiences, said Alliant President and CEO David Mooney. His deep understanding of the financial services landscape and his expertise in digital banking will be invaluable as we continue to transform Alliant into a leading digital financial institution.
As CIO, Warder will lead a team of over 300 technology professionals responsible for:
- Developing and implementing Alliant’s technology strategy
- Driving digital transformation initiatives
- Ensuring the delivery of secure and reliable technology solutions
- Managing Alliant’s technology infrastructure
- Leading the development of new products and services

Warder holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
